So many light-years from verdant Kashyyk
I’ve roved between the stars by hidden routes
To earn a living. One day I’ll go back
Again to take up more peaceful pursuits.
When I was there fighting the Separatists
The Clone Wars finally came to their end.
Their rule of force on Kashyyk yet persists.
Those clone Storm Troopers are nobody’s friend –
As the Jedi found out, when troopers slew
Them all – ‘cept some rescued with difficulty.
The Empire rules us – we are now too few
To break their iron yoke. When we are free
I shall return. Till then, with Han Solo
Across the parsecs with him I will go.
